The Wuxi Museum is currently the most extensive public cultural museum facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. The building’s unique architecture invites audiences into its “people-oriented” concept. Exhibitions are divided into art, history, science, and technology, with China’s largest Exploratorium, a 4D cinema, and a permanent display of historic art dating from 6000 years ago, to modern times.

Dorothy is honored to be part of this extraordinary cultural and civic center with 54 paintings on permanent exhibit. These paintings tell her story as an immigrant moving to the United States from China in the 1940s in an abstract art form she calls “Spiritual Dimensionalism”. Not only does this exhibit show her outstanding creativity, but it also explores the intersection of the natural, spiritual, and physical world. Dorothy also explores the paradox between traditional Chinese values and western spiritual concepts.

Long before the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Yung family had become one of the most successful industrial and commercial families in China. Although most of their prominence comes from textiles manufacturing, education, and banking, the Yung family has Dorothy to thank for adding artistic prestige to the family reputation.
